Letter tracing for kids, free and ad-free

Tracebug turns handwriting practice into a game. A friendly ladybug shows each stroke, your child follows it with a finger, and every level ends with a sticker.

Coming soon to the App Store for iPad and iPhone.

Completely free. No ads, no in-app purchases, no sign-up.

How it works

  1. 1

    Pick an animal

No typing and no account. Brothers and sisters each pick their own animal and get their own map.

  2. 2

    Watch the ladybug

The ladybug crawls along each stroke first, from the start dot in the right direction.

  3. 3

    Trace with a finger

A slip only pauses the ink. Nothing restarts and nothing says wrong, so small hands keep going.

  4. 4

    Collect stickers

Every level ends with a sticker on the map, from first lines to letters, numbers, words and cursive.

Questions from parents

Is Tracebug really free?

Yes. There are no ads, no in-app purchases and nothing to sign up for.

What age is it for?

Children from about 3 to 7: first lines and shapes for the youngest, then letters, numbers, words and cursive.

Which letter style does it teach?

Print letters in the ball-and-stick style many US schools use, with the usual stroke order, plus cursive lowercase letters.

Does it collect my child's data?

No account and no ads. Progress, and a name if a grown-up adds one, stay on the device. The app sends anonymous usage counts and crash reports to our own server so we can fix problems.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Everything works without internet.

Little lines today, letters tomorrow.

A level takes a couple of minutes, and every one ends with a sticker.
