Questions
Is Wayfar free?
Yes. The first 7 days include everything. After that the adaptive goal, gentle days, the energy check-in, the Japanese walk and the small widget stay free for good, with 3 walking-pad sessions a month. Wayfar Pro adds unlimited pad sessions and every widget size.
What is Japanese walking?
Interval walking as described by Shinshu University in Japan: 3 minutes brisk, where you could talk but not sing, then 3 minutes easy, repeated. Five rounds make 30 minutes; fewer is a fine place to start.
Can I hear the cues while listening to music?
Yes. Rising and falling chimes, or a spoken cue, play over your music with the phone in your pocket and the screen locked.
Does it work with Apple Health?
Yes. Wayfar reads your steps and distance from Apple Health, and saves a walk as a workout only when you ask. Your streak is rebuilt from Health, so a new phone keeps it.
Does walking on a treadmill at my desk count?
Yes. Set your walking pad's speed, tap Start, and Wayfar adds an estimate of the distance and steps to your day, always labelled as an estimate.
A goal that fits your days.
Your first Japanese walk can be three rounds. Start where you are.
