Terms of Use
Last updated: 27 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and JCOM LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States, with its address at 1309 Coffeen Avenue STE 1200, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States ("we", "us"), for the Cuffy app. By installing or using the app you accept them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ, these terms apply.
1. The app
Cuffy is a diary for blood pressure readings. You measure with your own blood pressure monitor and type the numbers in; the app keeps them, shows them against a target you set, and creates reports you can share.
2. Not a medical device
- Cuffy does not measure blood pressure, does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and does not give medical advice. It is not a medical device.
- The only comparison the app makes is against the target you enter. Whether a reading is "within" or "above" that target says nothing about your health on its own.
- Always talk to your doctor about your readings and before changing any treatment or medication. Don't delay seeking medical advice because of something you saw in the app.
- In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
3. Your data and your responsibility
- Your readings stay on your device (see the Privacy Policy). Keep a device backup if they matter to you; deleting the app deletes them.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the readings you enter and for where you share your reports.
- Reminders are delivered by iOS and depend on your notification settings, Focus modes and the device being on.
4. Cuffy Pro and auto-renewing subscriptions
Cuffy is free to download. Cuffy Pro is optional and adds the full history in charts and reports, saving readings to Apple Health, and CSV export. It is offered as:
- a monthly subscription (US $4.99 per month),
- a yearly subscription (US $29.99 per year) with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers,
- a one-time lifetime purchase (US $49.99).
Prices in other countries are shown in the app and on the App Store in your local currency and may include taxes.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase. We never see your payment details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- If you start the free trial, you will be charged the yearly price when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com). We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves.
- Restore purchases on a new device with "Restore purchases" in the app's settings, using the same Apple ID.
5. Acceptable use
Don't reverse-engineer, resell or misuse the app, and don't use it to break any law. That's it.
6. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the app reliable, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or available at all times. We may add, change or remove features, and may stop offering the app; if a paid feature is removed we will make reasonable efforts to inform you.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, JCOM LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for decisions about your health made on the basis of the app, or for lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be limited.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the app will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, and you consent to their jurisdiction. This does not affect mandatory consumer protections you have under the law of your country of residence. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.
9. Third-party beneficiary
Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, but Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer protection or intellectual property claims.
