Terms of Use
Last updated: August 28, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and JCOM LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States, with its address at 1309 Coffeen Avenue STE 1200, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States ("we", "us"), for the Hourbook app. By installing or using the app you accept them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ, these terms apply.
1. The app
Hourbook helps you record working time, breaks, earnings and payments, and create timesheets. It is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not payroll, accounting, tax or legal advice, and it does not replace your employer's or client's official records.
2. Your data and your responsibility
- You own the data you enter. It is stored on your device (see the Privacy Policy). Keep a backup: exporting a CSV or PDF, or an iOS device backup, is the way to keep your records safe if you lose or replace your phone.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record and for checking timesheets before you send them.
- Earnings and paycheck figures are estimates based on the rates you enter. They don't include taxes, deductions, overtime rules or allowances unless you account for them yourself.
3. Free plan and Pro
- The app is free to use with a limit on the number of shifts and exports. Hourbook Pro removes these limits and unlocks additional features.
- Pro is available as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency and may change; changes never affect a period you have already paid for.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Manage or cancel any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.
4. Acceptable use
Don't reverse-engineer, resell or misuse the app, and don't use it to break any law. That's it.
5. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the app reliable, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or available at all times. We may add, change or remove features, and may stop offering the app; if a paid feature is removed we will make reasonable efforts to inform you.
6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, JCOM LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost earnings or disputes with employers or clients arising from use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be limited.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the app will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, and you consent to their jurisdiction. This does not affect mandatory consumer protections you have under the law of your country of residence. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.
8. Third-party beneficiary
Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, but Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer protection or intellectual property claims.
