Terms of Use

Last updated: 29 September 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and JCOM LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States, with its address at 1309 Coffeen Avenue STE 1200, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States ("we", "us"), for the Voicejar app. By installing or using the app you accept them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ, these terms apply.

1. The app

Voicejar records voice memos on your iPhone, writes down what was said, and can summarise a recording into key points and to-dos. You can also import audio or video files and share your recordings, transcripts and summaries.

2. Transcripts and summaries

3. Your recordings and your responsibility

4. Voicejar Pro and auto-renewing subscriptions

Voicejar is free to download. Recording, playback, sharing your audio, and transcripts of the first 10 minutes of each recording made on your iPhone stay free. Voicejar Pro is optional and adds transcripts of any length, summaries with key points and to-dos, PDF and subtitle export, and the optional cloud features. It is offered as:

Prices in other countries are shown in the app and on the App Store in your local currency and may include taxes.

5. Cloud features and fair use

The optional cloud transcription and summaries are part of Voicejar Pro and are off until you turn them on. They include a fair-use allowance: currently 8 hours of cloud transcription and 60 cloud summaries per calendar month (1 hour and 10 summaries during the free trial). Transcripts and summaries made on your iPhone are not limited. We may change the allowance or the cloud providers, and we will describe changes in the app and in the Privacy Policy. The cloud needs an internet connection and may occasionally be unavailable; your recording always stays safe on your iPhone.

6. Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer, resell or misuse the app, and don't use it to break any law. That's it.

7. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep the app reliable, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or available at all times. We may add, change or remove features, and may stop offering the app; if a paid feature is removed we will make reasonable efforts to inform you.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, JCOM LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for decisions made on the basis of a transcript or summary, for errors in transcripts or summaries, or for lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be limited.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the app will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, and you consent to their jurisdiction. This does not affect mandatory consumer protections you have under the law of your country of residence. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.

10. Third-party beneficiary

Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, but Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer protection or intellectual property claims.
